Kennywood has announced the Service Center Building will be converted into a gift shop for the 2007 season, as part of the theme for Cosmic Chaos. A new Guest Services Building will be located just down the midway at the former site of Chuckles Challenge across from the entrance to Noah’s Ark.
Cosmic Choas will replace the Flying Carpet. (There is no word on the future of the Flying Carpet at this time, however sources suggest the ride is for sale.) The ride, called MEGA DISK’O by its manufacture Zamperla, Inc. seats 24 people on a giant disk, a.k.a., the UFO. The Mini Golf game located next to the entrance of Noah’s Ark has been removed. There is no word on future plans for the area at this time.
