Since 1963, Dutch Wonderland has been eastern Pennsylvania’s “Kingdom for Kids” and has received notoriety as an outstanding children’s park. The park was acquired by Palace from Hershey Entertainment in 2011 and maintains a friendly relationship with its main property, Hersheypark. Dutch Wonderland is home to a host of unique attractions, from its historic Monorail and boat rides, to Kingdom Coaster, the first ride to be built by Custom Coasters International, to the new Merlin’s Mayhem, a family inverted coaster that opened in 2017, to its rare survivors such as the Astroliner simulator attraction and the Dutch Wonder House haunted swing. In 2014, the park opened Exploration Island, a new themed area that became home to life-sized dinosaurs as well as a relocated, lengthened antique car ride.
